Physical labor places demands on the human body that are often comparable to those experienced by athletes. Yet most workers are expected to perform these physically demanding tasks without the same conditioning, recovery strategies, or support systems that athletes rely on. Not surprisingly, musculoskeletal injuries such as sprains, strains, and overexertion continue to be among the most common causes of workplace injuries and lost work time.

This webinar introduces the Industrial Athlete concept, an evidence-informed approach that treats workers like athletes by preparing their bodies for the physical demands of their jobs. We will explore how integrating concepts that include ergonomics, pre-shift warm-ups, strength and flexibility training, and wellness strategies such as hydration, sleep, and recovery can significantly reduce injuries while improving worker performance and well-being.

Designed specifically for safety leaders and EHS professionals, this session will translate research and real-world data into practical strategies organizations can implement into their safety programs.
