Conducts insurance risk management surveys on a range of moderate to complex risks, aiming to enhance policyholder risk profiles by identifying and mitigating safety hazards. Actively contributes to the development and support of technical expertise.  Drives the promotion, marketing, and advancement of Company initiatives, focusing on profitable growth. Regional Safety Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for leading Safety & Health compliance across multiple warehouse locations, with a strong emphasis on on site auditing, Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety programs, and field based compliance execution. This role identifies, evaluates, and manages safety that present unacceptable risk related to personal injury, accidents, property damage, and regulatory penalties. Industrial Safety Manager, McGough Construction

The primary role of the Safety Manager includes the essential functions:

Compliance: Ensure overall compliance with McGough’s Environmental, Health & Safety, and risk control policies and procedures on jobsites.

  • Lead, direct, and enforce safety on multiple construction projects, according to the safety staffing requirements defined by the Safety Director.
  • Identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using job-specific safety standards, best management practices, training, and disciplinary techniques.

Collaboration: Partner with Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and Foremen.

Mentorship: Mentor and coach the onsite crew.

Relationship Building: Foster and build relationships to ensure safety compliance with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
